Bright Future for Youth Provided by UWSBC and SB School District
Janet Carroll, Personnel Assistant and Elaine Alvarado Coordinator of Classified Personnel, took on the responsibilities of campaign managers under the leadership of Brian Sarvis, Superintendent of Santa Barbara City Schools and United Way's 2007-2008 Community Campaign Chair.
The focus of the campaign was to make all employees aware of the 12 partnerships between Santa Barbara School District and United Way. Partnerships include Fun in the Sun, Home Play Learning Kits, Pre-K Institutes, Parent, Teacher & Student Online Resource Directory and Character Counts! Both organizations are working together to create a brighter future for the youth in our community.
