16th Annual Alexis de Tocqueville/Leadership Circle Thank You Reception

On May 20th, the Channel Cat, under the
direction of Captain King Williams, took off for an evening
coastline cruise with over 80 Alexis de Tocqueville and Leadership
Circle members aboard for the 16th Annual Thank You Reception. As
we headed down the coast the fog lifted for a lovely evening of sunshine
and beautiful views.
Everyone relaxed and enjoyed themselves as they dined on extraordinary
and plentiful hors d’oeuvres prepared and served by Elena Wegner and her
staff. The food was one of the big hits of the evening!
After David Prichard, Leadership Circle Chair and Jim Wolfe, Alexis de
Tocqueville Society Co-Chair gave their welcoming remarks, CEO and
President Paul Didier presented a short update on the successes of the
Pre-K Institutes and
Fun in the Sun. He also gave a very brief recap of
the Power of Partnership Initiative’s (POPI) progress to date. The
stories of success inspired five attendees to volunteer their time and
talent to various POPI projects before they left the yacht!
This event was made possible by the generosity of Charlie Munger, the
owner of the Channel Cat, and Tom Goodson &
Dannell Stuart of AmeriFlex
Financial Services, who underwrote the party on the yacht. It was truly a
special cruise and thoroughly enjoyed by all.
