Thirty five United Way Executive
Club Members were honored at the annual Executive Club luncheon
at Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore. After introductions
by each individual, Paul Didier gave a brief update about
the exciting programs and initiatives United Way of Santa
Barbara County will launch this year.
Michael Towbes,
Chairman
of The Towbes Group and Montecito Bank & Trust and
Chief Financial Officer of The Towbes Foundation,
graciously shared
an inspirational presentation "Community Banking Perspectives."
He is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Princeton University and attended
graduate school at MIT.
Michael has been honored by his selection as Santa Barbara's Man of the Year, was the recipient
of the initial News-Press Lifetime Achievement Award, the UCSB
Chancellor's Medal and the Westmont Medal. He has been
selected as both Santa Barbara Philanthropist of the Year and
Santa Barbara Volunteer of the Year by the National Society of
Fundraising Executives.
Michael has been a strong
supporter of United Way and our community.
Montecito Bank
& Trust has annually awarded over 100 non-profits with more
than $1 million dollars through the community dividends program.
We thank Michael for his efforts to improve our community. A good time was had by
all at the luncheon!
